Webinar on the Swedish Research Council’s 3Rs Project Grant

Welcome to a webinar focusing on the Swedish Research Council’s 3Rs project grant, featuring presentations from previously funded 3Rs research projects.

The Swedish 3Rs Center invites you to take part in a webinar on the Swedish Research Council’s 3Rs project grant. The webinar will be held on 10 February at 12.00–13.00 CET.

The session will begin with an introduction by Isabel Dellacasa Lindberg, Senior Research Officer at the Swedish Research Council, who will present the research project grant aimed at developing methods to replace, reduce and refine animal experimentation. The 2026 call for proposals opens on 11 February, the day after the webinar.

We are also pleased to welcome two researchers who were each awarded a 3Rs project grant in 2024:

  • Volker Lauschke, Professor of Translational Pharmacology at Karolinska Institutet, will present his project: Use of a novel 3D human liver system for the prediction and understanding of hepatotoxicity induced by biological medicinal products.
  • Maria Tenje, Professor of Microsystems Technology at Uppsala University, will present her project: New microfluidic in vitro model to replace joint infection studies in animals.

Following the presentations there will be time for questions from the audience.

Who Should Attend?

The webinar is intended for anyone interested in the 3Rs, and in how targeted project grants can contribute to development of novel 3Rs methods.
