Creating the right environment for animal care
In June 2023, a cross-European group of 3Rs centres arranged a webinar series to explore the topic of culture of care. It aimed at animal care staff at all levels.
With a total of three webinars, the topic of Culture of care was explored by speakers from different countries and contexts. The third and final webinar included a panel discussion with all speakers.
The Swedish 3Rs Center was one of the organisers, and represented by the Swedish National Committee member Lotte Martoft who gave a presentation about culture of care in an industrial setting. The final session was hosted by the Swedish 3Rs Center.
Case studies for animal care staff
Alongside the webinar series, the 3Rs centres have produced five case studies. We encourage animal care staff to use these to consider various scenarios around the topic of culture of care in their own time, for example as part of a team meeting.
