Webinar: Practical applications of Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs)
The Swedish 3Rs Center would like to invite you to a webinar with the focus on practical applications of Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs) on June 9.
Last year we held a webinar introducing the basics of AOPs, this year we would like to demonstrate how AOPs can be used in practice. We have invited three speakers, who all use AOPs in different areas of research to show specific examples of AOP applications.
The webinar starts at 9 am and will end at 11.30 am CET.
- Dr. Penny Nymark from Karolinska Institutet will introduce the use of AOPs in modelling of pathogenesis of COVID-19 (the CIAO project)
- Dr. Jennifer Waspe from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals will demonstrate an AOP developed to describe pregnancy-related cholestasis
- Dr. Silvia Casati from the EU Joint Research Center (JRC) will present the skin sensitization AOP and its pioneering role in animal-free testing strategies.
The webinar is directed towards researchers, industry, government agencies and others with an interest in animal-free methods for research, regulatory- or other purposes.
We have instated a national network for researchers and government agencies with interest in animal-free methods for research, toxicity screening and regulatory purposes. The network should facilitate contact and exchange of information between researchers and government agencies. When registering for this webinar you will also have the opportunity to join the network.
Please register here no later than June 8
Date: June 9
